 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actor, comedian and activist Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents Her career began as a child actress just after emigrating to United States. The appearances she made as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 until 2016 - and in 2020 - have has made her famous. The commercials she appeared in were not her only activity she was involved in. She was also a part of the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally, she was an actor on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub is also the voice of Squirrel Girl on the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after being chosen to voice Squirrel Girl in the unaired TV pilot for New Warriors. Vayntrub was Jewish and was born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents and her were exiled from antisemitism as young as just two years old. They emigrated to the U.S. with their children. At five years of age she began to appear in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was in part due to the difficulties in the family's finances. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School, but dropped out after her sophomore year, she was able to get a GED and went to complete the Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. Vayntrub studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade.
